Areas I can help with
As a highly-experienced and qualified counsellor, I can support you with many challenges that may be affecting you.
Perhaps you're struggling with self-acceptance, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression or simply feeling a sense that something isn't right. Your counselling sessions are a safe space to bring what's troubling you.
You might need to talk about upsetting experiences from the past. I have many years of experience in supporting survivors of abuse and trauma, as well as those still going through it. If you need somebody to sit with you as you work out what you want to do, I can be here to help you think things through.
I have previously worked for a national cancer charity, counselling people living with cancer. My experience covers supporting those caring for loved ones with cancer and other chronic or life-limiting illnesses. I have palliative and bereavement care training and also hold a qualification in Counselling for Bereavement and Loss.
Having been an advocate for neurodiversity awareness from a young age, you can freely talk about how this affects your life. You may be an autistic person yourself or be the parent, carer or sibling to somebody with additional needs. I respect and celebrate that everybody is different. Together, we can explore how life has been for you and how you would like life to be.
I worked as a counsellor for a national children's charity for over fourteen years and have a wealth of experience in all areas that can affect children and young people. If you're a parent or carer looking for support for your child, please click here for more information to share with them.
I am passionate about carers' rights. So often, people caring for others are not feeling cared about themselves. There can be demands on a carer's time and a whole range of feelings about the caring role. When you come for counselling with me, I won't tell you how you should feel or that you should take better care of yourself. Instead, I will give you space to express how life truly is for you. Together, we can search for space for you.
All relationships have their ups and downs, whether romantic relationships, relationships between family members or important friendships. I offer a non-judgemental, confidential space for you to explore the relationships that matter to you. As a kink-aware therapist, I am experienced in supporting clients who wish to explore the uniqueness of the own relationships, including ethical non-monogamy and other non-traditional relationships.
